Taylor's 3!!!

I know I'm like a month late, but Taylor turned 3 on August 30th and we went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden and had a birthday party at the park to celebrate. Here are just a few pictures from the day.

My little boy is getting so big. I barely even remember him anymore when he was little, so today I had to go back and watch some video of some of his firsts. Taylor is talking like a pro now, he's quite the conversationalist. He loves Dinosaurs, Cars, and any movie with dogs in it. He loves to play outside and is already talking about building snowmen. He loves his little sister, and is already turning out to be the best big brother. I love my little boy and I'm excited to see him grow up, but I really do miss the little baby that made me a new mother.

Family Pics

Justin's cousin took our family pics. I'm really pleased with how they turned out, so here they are. If you want to check out other stuff she's done, click here. I think she's a very talented photographer.

Davis County Fair

We went to the fair on Friday night last week. It's really a great fair, especially since it's free. They have all kinds of exhibits, animals, shows, food, junk food. It was really a lot of fun. Unfortunately, we missed the pony rides on Friday, so we just had to go again on Saturday. Here are just a few of the fun things we did.

This is Alisha with Celeste in front of a cow. Yeah, a cow.

Taylor with his treasure at the petting zoo. He loves this sword, so much, in fact, that he wouldn't feed or touch any of the animals. He was too busy. He did feed one baby goat, and I didn't get a picture, and then he wouldn't do it again so I could.

Big horns on a cow, whoo-hoo!

Alisha and Cassi comparing pregnant bellies.

This is on Saturday, waiting in line for the ponies. We weren't sure he would do it.

Yea, finally riding on a pony. He wanted a small one, so he got the smallest. Even though there were littler kids than him.

Matt riding the mechanical bull. Yeah, he rides bulls professionally.

Train ride

Boat ride

and a plane ride, Taylor's 3 favorite forms of transportation. Even though, he's really only ever been on a train(Frontrunner)

This says it all.

Oh what do you do in the Summertime

Do you smile big for your Mommy?
Sleep the whole day away?

Dance in your robe? (Yes, folks, he wore this and only this to bed one night. Very funny kid)
Go swimming in a pool?
Blow out your birthday candle?

Play with all your friend's birthday presents?
Hold your new baby sister oh so very tight?
Is that what you do? That's okay if you don't. We've had a pretty fun summer so far. We haven't done a whole lot, mostly because I was recovering from childbirth for half of it and getting accustomed to being a mommy to two very unique children. We've gone to Chuck-E-Cheese's twice with our friends the Coplins, gone to Lagoon once with Matt and Alisha, gone to two very fun concerts at the Abeggs, and two birthday parties. And a few other things that I can't really remember because my mind is all but gone. And sorry I don't have any pics of Lagoon or Chuckies, I always seem to forget the camera when I really want it. And when I have it, I forget to take pictures. Anyway, I can't believe it's already August and Taylor is going to be 3 at the end of it! Crazy!

2 Months old

Celeste is two months old today. I know, I can hardly believe it myself. I look at her and she hardly resembles the 6 lb 15 oz newborn from a couple of months ago. She has almost doubled her weight and grown about 6 inches I think. Her doctor's appointment is tomorrow, so I'll know for sure then, but those are my innacurate, I'm sure, tries at weighing and measuring her. I haven't been very good at updating my blog, having two kids is a little tough for me. It's getting easier as I'm getting less and less tired, but it's still a challenge. Taylor loves his little sister, he always is asking to hold her and is kissing her everywhere he can get to. I can tell he is proud of her because whenever anyone comes over, he asks to hold her. I think it is very cute because it is like he's showing off. Celeste seems to really like him too, when he is being gentle anyway. She smiles and coos at him when he talks to her.
Celeste has been sleeping about 7 to 8 hours every night for about a week and a half. I know, how could I be so lucky. But even with that, I still don't feel like I get enough sleep. We are moving her out of our room and into her crib as soon as we get it set up. I think once she is no longer in our bedroom, I'll start getting better sleep. She is smiling a lot now, she loves her daddy, she'll just stare at him when he's not even paying attention, and as soon as he notices her, she gets a big smile on her face, that lights up her eyes. She actually does that with me too, I don't want to brag though;) She loves to be held. If she is awake and sitting in her bouncer or laying on a blanket, she will stay content for exactly 5 minutes, and then start to complain. It's hard to get anything done, but that really okay with me, most of the time. We love our little princess, Celeste. She is everything that I imagined when I found out I was having a girl.

Celeste Carolyn Behling-May 29th, 2009

Well, she's here. And has been for a few days, but I'm just getting to this. You understand. After only about 7 hours of labor and 15 minutes of pushing...I know, not bad, Celeste Carolyn entered the world at about 5:11 P.M. weighing a whopping 6 lbs 15 oz. And measuring 20 inches long. Long and skinny. It took us about 24 hours to come up with a name for her, the ones we were thinking of just didn't seem to fit, but the one we picked is perfect. Celeste means heavenly, and she definitely is. She's a very cute, sweet little girl, and we are so happy to have her here.
